Something I’ve noticed with juices from Sons of Sloth is that they aren’t exactly what you expect. They always have a twist. Most juices try to get the flavor exactly what you expect, but so far the flavors I’ve tried from Sons of Sloth is just a little different. This can be good or bad, depending on your expectations.

I try a lot of juices. I would like to say this is only for the website and podcast, but it’s mostly because I love trying so many different flavors. My wallet isn’t happy, but I am. Because I try a lot of different flavors, not knowing what I’m going to get is fun for me. It’s a surprise. Instead of thinking ‘this better taste exactly like a pb&j’ my mindset is ‘what surprise am I going to get this time’?

Cruel Hand has a peanut butter taste that I’ve been trying to describe. It’s not sweet, it tastes more powdery and almost like peanut brittle or that peanut butter powder you mix in shakes. You can taste it, but it’s not overwhelming. I know a lot of people who don’t vape peanut butter flavors because it’s too much peanut butter. I can eat a jar of peanut butter without a problem, but not everyone feels the same way.

The jelly and jam flavor is there, but it’s also not bold and in your face. It’s a strawberry jam sweetness that lasts just long enough for you to taste it.

The aftertaste can be dry and powdery at times, but you also don’t have the flavors lingering in your mouth, either.

If you’re wanting an exact clone of pb&j, I’m not sure this will satisfy you. But if you are looking for something different and support a small business, I’d recommend Cruel Hand and the other juices from Sons of Sloth.
