If you’ve been following along with The Fog Lounge, you already know we’ve been on a bit of an F.D.H. kick lately, and this week’s episode is proof.
In Episode 3, we sit down to talk about the flavors that have been dominating our devices, the gear we’ve been testing, and a hot take that’s probably going to ruffle a few feathers: expensive disposables aren’t worth the money.
Flavor Favorites This Week
Renee is still completely hooked on Playland Cotton Candy Ice Cream by F.D.H. It’s become her all-day vape, finding its way into nearly every device she owns. The balance of sweetness, creaminess, and subtle cotton candy notes make it one of the standout dessert flavors we’ve tried recently.
Meanwhile, Steve dives into Sully’s Cherry Lime Ricky, a bright and refreshing blend that delivers a sweet cherry inhale followed by a zesty lime finish. It’s one of those flavors that becomes even more enjoyable as the weather starts warming up.
We also discuss:
- Pink Bunny Strawberry Vanilla Wafer
- Duck Boy Blue Raspberry Jolly Rancher
- Sea Legs Lime Lemonade
- Pennywise Strawberry Waffle Ice Cream
- Several nicotine salt flavors that didn’t quite live up to expectations
When Great Juice Doesn’t Work for Everyone
One topic we spend some time discussing is how different brands affect different people. While some juice lines have massive followings, Renee shares her ongoing struggle with certain synthetic nicotine formulations that cause throat irritation, even when the flavor itself is enjoyable.
It’s a good reminder that vaping experiences can be incredibly personal, and what works perfectly for one person might not work at all for someone else.
New Gear, New Problems
This episode also features plenty of gear talk.
We discuss:
- The surprisingly impressive Hellvape VSEE pod system
- Hellvape Hellbeast RTAs
- Building and wicking RTAs
- Geekvape Aegis and Argus frustrations
- The new VOOPOO Drag 5
- Building colorful and customized setups
And yes, Renee’s mission to create the ultimate pink vape setup continues.
Hot Take: Are Disposables Really Worth It?
The biggest debate in this episode revolves around disposable vapes.
After picking up a brand-new disposable that cost nearly as much as a full mod, we started asking ourselves an important question:
Are disposables actually convenient enough to justify the cost?
For occasional situations, absolutely. But when you compare the long-term cost, flavor options, and customization available with refillable setups, the answer isn’t always as simple as many people think.
Let’s just say one particularly sweet disposable left us questioning whether convenience is worth $36.
